Standing Together: ASIS UK with PTSD Resolution
ASIS UK had the privilege of attending a special event at the House of Lords, hosted by PTSD Resolution, our official charity partner. Represented by board members Darren Carter and Farah Benis, the event brought together supporters, partners, and advocates committed to tackling the mental health crisis facing veterans and those working in high-pressure sectors like security.
The gathering was a powerful reminder of the vital work PTSD Resolution continues to do - offering free, confidential, and effective therapy for veterans, reservists, and their families, including those within our own ASIS UK community. At a time when access to mental health services is becoming increasingly difficult, charities like PTSD Resolution are not just helpful - they are essential.
With Mental Health Awareness Week fresh in mind, and its 2025 theme of community, the event felt especially timely. It also underscored the importance of human connection, real support, and spaces that allow people to show up as they are - whether they’re seeking help, offering it, or just reminding others they’re not alone.
We’re incredibly proud to stand beside PTSD Resolution, and even prouder to know that ASIS UK members can access these services too. If you or someone you know in our community is in need of support, please don’t hesitate to reach out to them.
Because in a sector built on protection, we must also remember to protect our own.
