What is Security is You(th)?

Security is You(th) is a Europe-wide initiative designed to engage and inspire the next generation of security professionals through hands-on challenges, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

  • As part of the programme, we will be hosting:
The Security is You(th) Hackathon – A real-world problem-solving competition where participants tackle security challenges in teams, guided by industry mentors.

  • Mentorship Meetup – A chance for young professionals and students to connect with senior industry leaders in an informal setting, gain insights, and receive career advice.

The Hackathon – How It Works

One Week Before the Event: Participants receive a broad security theme and recommended reading materials.

Day 1: Online briefing where the specific challenge is revealed.

Day 2 Morning: Teams submit their solutions, including a summary, analysis, and proposed response.

Day 2 Afternoon: Teams present in person to a judging panel of security professionals, competing for industry-recognised prizes.
