ASIS Europe 2026
This week, members of the ASIS UK Board travelled to Antwerp for ASIS Europe 2026 - a few packed days of learning, connection, and representing the strength of our chapter on an international stage.
The week began with Volunteers Day, bringing together chapter leaders from across the ASIS community. It was a valuable opportunity to share best practice, exchange ideas between chapters, and feed insights back to ASIS International on how we continue to evolve and better support our members. It was also great to see the UK Chapter consistently recognised for its contributions - particularly across initiatives such as Security is You(th) and our communications work - something that continues to position the chapter as a leading voice within the network.
As always, Jessica Lombardo was a brilliant host - keeping the afternoon engaging and focused.
We then joined our sponsor Everbridge at their event at Chocolate Nation, where conversations continued over what Belgium does best - beer, chocolate, and excellent company.
Throughout the conference, the UK Chapter presence was strong. Our Hub meet-up saw a fantastic turnout and gave us the chance to share plans for the year ahead, reconnect with members, and - importantly - hear directly what you want to see more of from the chapter.
A real highlight was the Women in Security session, hosted by Farah Benis alongside Lara Orban-Davis, which saw an incredible turnout and reinforced the continued growth and importance of this community.
UK members were also well represented across the programme, including sessions from:
Mike Hurst
Martin Gill
Both reflecting the depth of expertise and leadership within our network.
It was also impressive to see Tim Molden and Eren Bessim joining the early 7:15am run—a strong start to the day and commitment levels we’ll politely admire rather than replicate.
It was equally great to see many of our sponsors in attendance throughout the week, continuing to support the chapter not just locally, but on the European stage.
One of the standout moments of the week was our UK Chapter Drinks at De Muze, with our largest turnout to date - over 100 attendees joining us. From there, many headed to the official conference dinner at the Antwerp Stock Exchange, an incredible historic venue and a fitting setting to close out the evening.
We also continued the wonderful tradition of gifting chapter challenge coins, including those linked to our Security is You(th) programme, to friends of the chapter - small tokens, but a meaningful way to recognise the relationships and support that sit behind everything we do.
In between it all, the programme delivered a strong mix of educational seminars, workshops, and networking opportunities, with conversations that will continue well beyond the event itself.
And, in a final touch, AlertMedia ensured many of us travelled home with chocolate bunnies in hand.
ASIS Europe continues to be a standout moment in the calendar - not just for the content, but for the community behind it. The UK Chapter continues to show up, contribute, and lead.
We’ll be seeing you all in Liverpool next year.
