What an incredible few days at ASIS Europe 2025!

We started strong with networking drinks on Monday evening hosted by OSAC and the ASIS Ireland Chapter, bringing together security professionals from across the globe to connect and collaborate.

Tuesday’s Leadership Day which ended with a fantastic Irish whiskey tasting at the Irish Whiskey Museum, generously hosted by our UK Chapter sponsor, Everbridge. A brilliant setting to build connections over a shared appreciation of Dublin’s finest! And onto a jam-packed schedule on Wednesday and Thursday, the UK Chapter Board was fully immersed in industry-leading discussions, community sessions, and global networking opportunities.

Wednesday Highlights

The day kicked off with the DEI Breakfast, setting the tone for an agenda packed with insightful discussions and community-driven sessions:

Navigating the NIS2 Directive & EU Cyber Resilience ActSteven Kenny broke down the impact of evolving cybersecurity regulations on physical security operations, sparking key discussions on compliance and preparedness.

Women in Security Community Session – Hosted by Farah Benis, bringing together professionals dedicated to fostering a more inclusive security industry.

Executive Protection Community Session – Hosted by Stuart Nash, diving into the evolving challenges and best practices in executive protection.

UK Chapter Community Session – Led by Tim Molden, providing members with a platform to connect, collaborate, and engage with chapter initiatives.

Retaining Women in the Security IndustryFarah Benis returned to tackle an industry challenge - ensuring long-term gender diversity in security.

An Incredible Variety of Learning Opportunities

In between it all, attendees had access to a wealth of expert insights from some of the biggest names in security and resilience. The opening keynote was delivered by Ed McLaughlin, President of Mastercard, setting the stage for thought-provoking discussions on global security challenges.

Networking & Community Engagement

Wednesday wrapped up with two fantastic networking events:

An Evening at the Guinness Storehouse – Sponsored by Nedap, this event provided a memorable setting to network, reflect on the day, and enjoy Dublin’s best hospitality.

Thursday Spotlight: Security is You(th) & Resilience in a Changing World

On Thursday, Farah Benis was back alongside Lucas Lacomme-Lahourguette from the ASIS French Chapter to discuss the Security is You(th) initiative. This growing project is focused on engaging the next generation of security professionals, bringing fresh talent into the industry through mentorship, education, and opportunities for young people.

Other key sessions included a Readiness and Resilience discussion featuring:

Florian Haacke, M.Sc – CSO and Head of Group Security, Porsche AG
Michael H. Lashlee – Chief Security Officer, Mastercard

These sessions highlighted emerging threats, strategic security planning, and how leading organisations are building resilience in an increasingly complex world.
