Physical Security Professional (PSP™)

The ASIS PSP™ certification was introduced into the UK in 2003 as a means of providing security professionals with the know-how and skills to specify physical security systems.   As such, the programme focuses on developing an understanding of physical security systems, both structural and electronic (CCTV, IDS, access management systems etc) and provides excellent methodologies for specification, installation project management and performance testing.

The PSP™ certification is not an alternative to the CPP™.  Indeed, many Chapter members have become “dual-certified”.

Application for the PSP™ examination, for which candidates must satisfy certain eligibility criteria, is direct to ASIS International using the on-line form at:

You can check your eligibility at:

The 2008 examination for the PSP™ will take place on 1 November 2008, hosted by ARC Training.
